This is a request for help with my Kindle. I'm not particularly interested in downloading/buying books to read on the Kindle, but more to save me hundreds of pounds in paper and ink and square metres of storage space for my reams of Pros fiction. I've managed to download direct from the Archive of our Own using the MOBI download facility (which is fab and I just love the thought of being able to take the boys with me wherever I go!). However, I've got MOUNTAINS of "Word" documents stored on disks which I'd like to put on the Kindle. However, I've failed to link my kindle to my wifi (and I'm too busy to even think about phoning my provider) and so not (as yet) set up the e-mail facility. Does anyone know how (or indeed if) you can download a Word document in a format to be recognised by a kindle?

Any help you can offer would be very welcome! Thank you!
