I never watched George Gently, but I see scope for a lot of Older Lads fic in the pictures with the article.

Wish Mr S felt like that about Mr Doyle. Still, I did read somewhere that his reticence to talk about it is largely due to the fact that no one asks...possibly a self-fulfilling prophesy of sorts.

If I ever get the opportunity, I'll ask !

I loved George Gently, it was an awesome show, and I got what you say about older lads.

MS attitude about Doyle is quite common, sadly. Paul Michael Glaser was the same regarding Starsky, for example.

But who knows, maybe you're right :P
