When I saw Rhodes, I thought, who else could make CECIL RHODES sympathetic? I must remember this Shaw fellow. I hadn't even seen The Professionals at that point. *shakes head*

Ack! Rhodes was such a hard watch for me because I thought the film did a fantastic job of painting Cecil Rhodes as a monster and for many reasons, I do think Rhodes was a despicable man - BUT- Martin Shaw was absolutely beautiful in the role. Acting skill, physical look, all of it was entrancing.
